The aim of this symposium is to bring together specialists working in the field of science, research and marketing in the various industries of food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and feed, etc., rice related agricultural education and administration and provide them with information on recent advances, other prospect, and to stimulate interdisciplinary discussions on the use of rice and rice components for human nutrition and disease prevention through the concept of a harmonious relationship between science and the natural environment.
