Founder Masaji Tsuno established wheat refine factory that designated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in 1947. His motivation of establishment was to contribute society with stable food supply business since the time was after the WWII, food shortage was a social problem.
Later, wheat consumption was decreased, in order to diversify the business, he decided to advance to refining business using rice bran as raw material.
In 1972 Tsuno Rice Fine Chemicals Co., ltd was established on purpose to utilize rice bran
more effectively and started manufacturing medical ingredients.
In 2000 Started operation of fatty acid derivative production plant.
TSUNO group operates three pillars “Rice bran oil manufacturing business” “Fine chemical business” and “Oleo Chemical business” and we initiate to manufacture value added products since then.

| 1998 | Held 1st international symposium on “Disease Prevention by IP6 & other rice components”. |
| 1998 | All factories obtained ISO 9001. |
| 2000 | Acquired Yashiro factory from Henkel. |
| 2001 | All factories obtained ISO 14001. |
| 2006 | Kanto factory in Honjo city Saitama was established |
| 2008 | Held 2nd international symposium on “Rice and Disease Prevention“. |
