21st Century is said to be the era of major grain companies. Rice and barley are crucial food resources, vital to sustain the populations of Japan and the rest of the world.
Since its establishment, TSUNO has focused on production of functional ingredients using raw ingredients that have been used for centuries as food, and has worked tirelessly to develop advanced applications of by-products.

Today, we are faced with the depletion of nature resources and an increasing focus on environmental issues. That is why now is exactly the right time to focus on vital plant resources, using and advancing the technology that has been developed up until now to discover new and further applications. TSUNO must continue its efforts in research and development to seek out the as yet undiscovered potential of these resources.

TSUNO is committed to listening to its clients, in order to be able to deliver safe and reliable products, and in order to ensure that each consumer can have total confidence in its products.

3. Always understand and abide by relevant legislation and by any other regulations to be followed
4. Always aim to prevent and mitigate any environmental damage to the following:
   1. Water quality(waste water)
   2. Atmosphere
   3. Noise and odours
   4. Waste reduction
   5. Soil and land
5. Always follow the 3Rs: reduce, reuse, recycle. Always work to develop products and services that are kind to the environment:
   1. ‘Zero emission’ focus on new product development
   2. Introduction of low energy, resource saving, and power saving facilities and devices to promote environmental protection by sustainable resource utilization and prevention of Global Warming
6. Always strive for improvement, examining efficiency in management systems for quality, environment, safety and reliability.
7. Always train and educate staff in order to ensure efficiency in management systems for quality, environment, safety and reliability.
8. Always set specific goals and targets in order to measure whether the content of this policy is being properly applied, and operate programmes as required to encourage the reference to and application of this policy.
